Maria R. Garcia joined the Franklin Pierce graduate faculty as Assistant Professor in 2001. She received her ALM in Information Technology from Harvard University, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and a BS in Business from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela. Her work experience includes strategic management consulting, research and development of new investment opportunities, financial management, database design and implementation, and eCommerce management. Some of the industries in which Maria has worked include oil, procurement, engineering, media, publishing, banking, and education. She has taught courses in Accounting, Database Systems, Client/Server Computing, Website Development, and Information Systems to college, MBA’s, and continuing education students. She is a member of Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society for academic achievement and an invited reviewer for The Internet Encyclopedia, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2003. What do students say about Maria? “The teacher [Garcia] was very knowledgeable in the subject.” “The lectures were well presented and very informative.” Maria was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. She has been living in the US since 1996.
Martin (Marty) S. Green, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the
Graduate Studies program, at Franklin Pierce College. He has taught at FP
Marty received his Ph.D. in Administration and Policy, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia successfully defending his dissertation: Strategic Planning and Organization Culture in May, 1995. In February 1986, he received his Masters Degrees from the School of Business and Government Administration, George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Marty’s
area of expertise includes: Leadership, quantitative methods, statistics,
operations management, organization behavior, and strategic management.

Professor is excellent in all aspects.” Constance Annas Inacio, PT, M.Ed. GCS is a physical therapist who has practiced in many settings including traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, acute care and most recently, geriatric rehabilitation. My clinical practice is in the area of sub-acute rehabilitation and became a Geriatric Clinical Specialist, certified by the ABPTS in 2000. I have been in PT education for many years, the past three at Notre Dame College and currently at Franklin Pierce. My previous research experience has been in the area of adult and childhood motor performance, developing an assessment tool. I have published articles in the area of motor performance and have also authored a chapter on evaluating spasticity in children and adults. I have presented at national and local forums for rehabilitation professionals. My current areas of special interest include, balance and falls prevention and geriatric health promotion.
Norma Saba-Corey is an Associate
Professor in the Graduate Studies program at Franklin Pierce College. She
has taught at FP Dr. Corey received her BA in Psychology, Counseling and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts and her M.Ed. and Ed.D. from Harvard University. She has taught and counseled adult students and training professionals for 18 years. She is the founder and Executive Director of the "not for profit" adult education program: Reintegration Education Adult Program, REAP and does volunteer work teaching inner city adults reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking using sociology as a subject. According to Norma her love of teaching comes from her experience in “the third grade through junior high school, I was asked to assist the teacher in teaching the "slower learners". I loved the thrill I experienced of seeing the students faces when they grasped something they thought was "out of their reach." I have been doing it ever since.” Her hobbies include: Oil painting, attending museum exhibits and theatre productions and she says, “Reading a "good book" can, at times, be my ultimate adventure.” What do students say about Norma? “Norma was an outstanding teacher of communications. Her real life experience made this class enjoyable.” “Norma is awesome! Kept us involved.” Stephen (Steve) M. Smith is an
Associate Professor of Business, in the Graduate Studies program, at
Franklin Pierce College. He has taught at FP
Steve’s hobbies include drawing and painting, writing fiction and skiing. He is very interested in entrepreneurial ventures having started three businesses. He has also spent time consulting with small businesses across the country. Steve’s focus, as a professor at FPC, is on the student’s individual beliefs, values and assumptions. He blends these, along with the theme of leadership into his course structure. In addition, he employs creative techniques designed to promote rapid change of an individual’s state, perception and behavior What do students say about Steve? “His [Steve’s] whole structure of the course was great-learned a lot.” “Great explanations of material—very easily understood…VERY Hip!” |
