What should my student be doing to be prepared for Life after FPC?

Freshman Year
Encourage your son/daughter to join student clubs, intramural sports to make connections, explore new interests and start to build resume experience.
Encourage your son/daughter to get a part-time job on campus. S/he can check out what is available on the job boards in the Monadnock Lounge and the Financial Aid office.

Sophomore Year
Encourage your son/daughter to consider leadership positions on campus (apply to be an RA, etc.) to build resume experience and develop a stronger connection to the FP
community.
Encourage your son/daughter to start exploring the Career Planning and Placement Office for assistance in choosing or changing a major or minor or for career assessment testing.

Junior Year
Encourage your son/daughter to meet with Career Planning and Placement Office, to develop a resume and cover letter.
Encourage your student to get an internship by working with his/her faculty advisor and the Career Planning and Placement Office.
Encourage your son/daughter to explore study abroad opportunities including the Walk Across Europe, Richmond College in London, England or at American College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland.

Senior Year
Encourage your son/daughter to do job shadowing, connect with potential employers or apply to graduate school.
