Students are asked to call ext 4130 to set up appointments at Health Services. By calling for an appointment in advance, you can decrease waiting time and allow adequate time with the appropriate health care provider. Walk-in acute care situations and emergencies are given priority attention. Health Service hours are Monday - Friday
8AM- 4:30PM during the academic year. EMT coverage is available after hours.

All full time Rindge
campus students are covered by FP
health services. There are a few
procedures for which there is a charge. For a copy of the FP
student
insurance policy or any questions regarding the student insurance plan,

We provide starter dosage of over-the-counter medications. We have a limited in-house pharmacy for students and we utilize a local pharmacy for prescription medications we do not have on hand.

Franklin Pierce Health Services is legally and ethically obligated to protect students' right to privacy. Your medical records are strictly confidential. No one other than FP
Health Services staff has access to your medical records without your prior written permission. This restriction includes your parents, faculty and staff or outside agencies. Certain communicable diseases need to be reported to the Department of Public Health and you will be informed of this action prior to Health Services calling the Department.

Primary Care
Services:
A major focus of Health Services is to provide a wide range of primary care services. Our providers are experienced in treating common medical problems seen on college campuses. We are interested in helping you stay healthy and active.
We hope that all students will utilize our services when needed. The college years are a great opportunity for health education and being an advocate for your own health care is a tool you will use your whole life.
Women's
Health:
Gynecological services are available by appointment. Services include assessment and treatment of infectious diseases, annual examinations, Pap Smears, pregnancy testing and birth control. Extensive education on Women's Health issues is always available.
Men's Health:
We counsel, diagnose, and support the
specific needs of men. We provide information on contraception,
education about testicular and prostate cancer and provide education and
screening for STD’s.
Laboratory
Services:
A wide array of lab services are available at the Health Services. Complex testing will be drawn and sent to an external lab.
Immunizations:
Basic immunizations including Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Tetanus and TB screening are
mandatory for admission. Other preventative immunizations are available for a fee, including Hepatitis B, Meningitis, and Influenza. All
immunizations will incur a fee not covered by student insurance.
(Outside insurances not accepted.)
Health
Education/Wellness Programs
We offer individual help on a variety of topics such as alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; sexual health; fitness and nutrition; eating disorders; and stress management. Programs are provided to resident student housing, organizations, and academic classes.

Record Requirement |
The State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services
licenses Franklin Pierce Health Services. A completed medical file for
each student is required to be maintained in Health Services. These
files consist of a Health Assessment Form, a physical exam within a year
of admission, proof of immunizations (two MMR’s, meningitis vaccine, TB
screening within one year, or if international students--within 12 weeks
of arrival in the U.S. and Tetanus within ten years are required) and a
signed consent form for medical treatment. Any student not meeting these
requirements will be prevented from registering and attending classes
until the information is provided.
Franklin Pierce Health Services is a Health Care facility providing
health promotion and comprehensive, skilled and compassionate services

Release of Medical Information |
Franklin Pierce Health Services maintains
medical records of Rindge students for seven years beyond departure.
After that medical records are destroyed. To request a copy of medical
records, please download the
Medical
Records Release Form and fill out completely. Release forms
are required to have the student’s signature. You may fax or mail in
your request to:
