Students Against Drunk Driving Host First Annual Candlelight Vigil

At a kickoff event for Alcohol Awareness Week, over forty students lit candles in memory of loved ones killed or maimed by drunk drivers.

Also in attendance were Campus Minister, Mary Ann Demato and Mr. Messier - father of Denise Messier, a former student who was tragically killed by a drunk driver soon after her FP
graduation.

Mr. Messier spoke and several others read poems and shared brief stories.

S.A.D.D. plan to make this an annual event. They meet every other Sunday in the Pierce Room. For more information contact Monica Colby at x2503 or Bette Chamberlain, Ph.D., Faculty Advisor to S.A.D.D. at x4114.
