In
game two, the Dolphins exploded for six runs in the top of the first
inning and cruised to an 11-1 victory to complete the twinbill sweep.
DesLauriers highlighted the six-run frame with a bases loaded two-run
double. Sophomore Lindsey Spanziani (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads)
notched a pair of singles, an RBI and a run scored, while seniors Kristi
Edmunds (East Syracuse, N.Y./ES-M) and Molly Reagan
(Cortland, N.Y./Cortland), along with freshman Emma Murphy
(East Syracuse, N.Y./ES-M) rapped RBI singles in the inning.
Le
Moyne added three runs in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth.
DesLauriers delivered an RBI double in the fourth, while Kolic ripped a
two-run single in the fifth stanza. DesLauriers hit 2-for-4 with three
RBI and a run scored, while Kolic went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI
and a pair of runs scored in the contest. Spanziani also went 3-for-3
for the Dolphins.
Reed
was impressive both at the plate and on the mound. She hit 2-for-3 and
scored a pair of runs on the offensive side. She also earned the win,
limiting the Ravens to just three hits in four innings pitched.
Franklin
Pierce got hits from Giardina, Knapp and classmate Taylor Kenyon
(Bennington, Vt./Mt. Anthony). Surgen scored the Ravens lone
