Hislop
netted her team-leading fifth match-winning goal of the year when she
took a pass from freshman Ann
Foley (Rockland, Mass./Rockland)
and fired a shot into the right corner of the net just 6:33 into the
match. Less than two minutes later, Hislop spotted sophomore Taryn
Welker (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga)
with a cross for a shot to the right side of the goal at 8:12.
The Ravens iced the match in the 77th minute when
Hislop gathered a loose ball and fired a shot from the top of the
penalty area that bounced through the legs of Le Moyne sophomore
goalkeeper Jessica
Cochol (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua).
Franklin Pierce junior Linnea
Authier (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow)
made four saves to preserve her second shutout of the season (seventh
career). Cochol made nine saves for the Dolphins, who were out-shot 26-5
in the match.
Franklin Pierce (9-1-1, 7-1-1 NE-10) is back in action on Saturday for a key Conference and regional match up with No. 19 UMass Lowell at 3 p.m. Le Moyne (4-6-1, 2-6-1 NE-10) hosts Merrimack College on Saturday at noon.
