SUNY-Fredonia Outlasts 
Franklin Pierce, 19-9

WELLINGTON, Fla. (March 23, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce women’s lacrosse team battled to a 7-7 tie at the half, but fell 19-9 to non-conference foe SUNY-Fredonia tonight in Wellington, Fla.

            Juniors Courtney Boardman (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle) and Alissa Silverman (Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) combined for all nine of the Ravens goals. Boardman totaled five markers and an assist, while Silverman tallied four times. Senior captain Amanda McIntosh (Madison, N.J./Madison) added a pair off assists, and junior Kara LaSalle (Gilford, N.H./Gilford) chipped in with a helper to round out the scoring for Franklin Pierce.

            Freshman Michaela Sullivan (Arlington, Mass./Arlington) saved 10 shots in net for the Ravens.

Franklin Pierce (0-2) will wrap-up its southern trip on Saturday, when they take on non-conference foe Buffalo College at 11 a.m. in Wellington. SUNY-Fredonia will face Allegheny College in West Palm Beach, Fla. Tomorrow at 5 p.m.
