RINDGE, N.H. (April 14, 2003) - Franklin Pierce freshman attack Courtney Boardman (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week for women’s lacrosse. The Conference office made the announcement this afternoon.

She registered season-highs with seven goals and two assists for eight points at Assumption College on Saturday night. The seven markers are the fifth highest total in program history for a single game.

Boardman tallied three points with two goals and an assist in the Ravens first match of the week at Keene State College and rounded out the week with a marker at Bryant College on Sunday afternoon.

Boardman, who also earned womenslacrosse.com Division II Rookie of the Week earlier this season, currently leads Franklin Pierce with 24 goals (6th NE-10) and four assists for 28 points (11th). Her season totals for goals currently rank third in program history, while she is also tied for fifth in assists and fourth in points for a single-season.

Franklin Pierce (2-6, 2-3 NE-10) looks to snap a three-match slide tomorrow afternoon when it hosts Saint Anselm College for a Conference battle at 3:30 p.m. The match marks the first-ever women’s lacrosse match played on the Rindge campus after the Ravens played its home games at the Winchendon (Mass.)
