Freshman Alissa Silverman netted both Ravens goals against SUNY-Fredonia

SUNY-Fredonia Runs Past Franklin Pierce, 14-2

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (March 17, 2003) - SUNY-Fredonia opened an 11-0 lead by halftime and remained in control, posting a 14-2 victory over Franklin Pierce in non-conference women's lacrosse action this afternoon.

Despite allowing 11 unanswered goals over the first 30 minutes, Franklin Pierce performed much better in the second half, playing to a 3-2 match.

Freshman Alissa Silverman (Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) netted both Ravens goals, with junior Angel Bottomley (Hampton, Va./Hampton) and sophomore April Demers (Gorham, N.H./Gorham) each tallying assists.

Junior goalkeeper Ashley Simpson (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) posted 16 saves in the loss.

Franklin Pierce (0-1) rounds out its spring break trip with a non-conference match up with SUNY-Brockport tomorrow at 2 p.m.
