Le Moyne Scores Last Second Win Over Franklin Pierce, 48-46

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Sophomore guard Katie Kramer (Oneida, N.Y./Oneida) drilled a 15-foot jumper as time expired to lift Le Moyne to a 48-46 victory over Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 Conference women’s basketball contest at Grant Court. The Dolphins (2-6, 2-4 Northeast-10) snap a three-game losing skid and win for the first time at home this season.

Freshman Lindsay Carr (Bronx, N.Y./Preston) scored 11 points to lead three Dolphins in double figures. Sophomore Ann Belforti (Watertown, Conn./Taft) and Kramer scored 10 each. Freshman Lindsay Ellis (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) grabbed 12 of Le Moyne’s 49 rebounds. The Dolphins outrebounded the visitors by a margin of 49-25.

Mollie Stelmack (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster) scored 14 points and Danielle D’Ettorre (Saul Ste. Marie, Ontario/St. Mary’s) added 10 for Franklin Pierce (3-4, 1-4 Northeast-10). The Ravens forced Le Moyne into 29 turnovers.

The Dolphins trailed 23-17 at the break and had to overcome a 10-point deficit in the second half, but took their only lead of the final 20 minutes on Kramer’s game-winner. Trailing 42-32 with 10:17 remaining, the Dolphins closed out the contest with a 16-4 run.
