and 11 rebounds to lead the Ravens to victory

LOWELL, MASS. (December
4, 2001) - Junior tri-captain Jennifer Webster
(Braintree, Mass./Braintree) registered 25 points
and 11 rebounds to lead the Franklin Pierce University
women's
basketball team to a 55-54 victory over UMass Lowell in
Northeast-10 Conference action in the Costello Gym.
The Riverhawks led
25-24 heading into the second half and opened up the half
with an 11-4 run with 14:47 left to play. The Ravens fought
back, however, and went on a 10-0 run to take a 39-36 lead
at the 10:11 mark. The teams battled back and forth in the
final minutes of the game, but the Ravens put away the Riverhawks
for good when Webster drained a three-pointer at the 3:30
mark.
Webster was outstanding,
sinking 7-for-10 (70.0%) from the field, 4-for-4 (100.0%)
from the three-point line, and 7-for-7 (100.0%) from the
line to notch her first double-double of the season. Sophomore
Susan Ocitti (Cambridge, Mass./Cambridge R&L) chipped
in eight points and seven rebounds for the Ravens, while
senior tri-captain Emily Liskow (Strafford, N.H./Coe-Brown)
added nine points in the win.
Junior Itxaso
Mallaviabarrena led the Riverhawks with 15 points and five
rebounds. Dragana Rabota followed with ten points, eight
rebounds and five assists.

returns to action on Saturday, December 8, when it hosts
the College of the Saint Rose in a Northeast-10 Conference
matchup at 1 p.m. UMass Lowell (3-2, 2-1 NE-10) returns
to the hardwood on Saturday when it visits Pace for a NE-10
battle at 1:30 p.m.
