Feher nets career-high 27 and grabs nine
rebounds to lead Dolphins
Liskow becomes 15th Raven to reach 1,000-point plateau
RINDGE, N.H. (January
5, 2002) - Sophomore swingplayer Jennifer Feher netted
a career-high 27 points to lead Le Moyne College, ranked
sixth in the Northeast Region, to a 72-61 victory over Franklin Pierce University
in Northeast-10 Conference women’s basketball
action at the FP
Fieldhouse this afternoon.
Feher canned 13-of-16
from the field and added nine rebounds (four offensive),
three assists and two steals.
Le Moyne held a 40-35
advantage at the half and took control early in the second
as it held FP
to just seven points over the opening ten
minutes in the stanza.
The Ravens were able
to close the gap to four points with two minutes to play,
but the Dolphins held off the rally for the win.
Franklin Pierce senior
Emily Liskow (Strafford, N.H./Coe-Brown) became
the 15th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point
plateau when she canned a jumper with 16:40 to play in the
second half. She finished the game with a team-high 17 points
to move into 14th place on FPC’s all-time scoring list with
1,007 career points. She also totaled five assists and two
steals.
Also helping Le Moyne
to victory were junior Shalyn Polinksi with 17 points, five
assists and three steals, while senior Regan Burns added
16 points, aided by a 3-5 effort from three-point range,
six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Junior Stacy
Schrader grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with
eight points and five blocks.

Webster (Braintree, Mass./Braintree) recorded her
second double-double of the season as she totaled 12 points,
ten rebounds (five offensive) and three steals. Sophomore
Susan Ocitti (Cambridge, Mass./Cambridge R&L)
chipped in 11 points in 13 minutes of play.
Le Moyne was aided
by shooting 51.7-percent (31-60) from the field for the
afternoon compared to 36.1% (22-61) for Franklin Pierce.
The Ravens were also hampered by 22 turnovers.

returns to action on Tuesday when it wraps up a three-game
homestand against Saint Michael’s College at 5:30 p.m. Le
Moyne (9-3, 6-2 NE-10) hosts Southern New Hampshire University
on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
