Bergeron scores game-high 19 points in Ravens victory

RINDGE, N.H. (November 30, 2005) – Franklin Pierce notched its second win of the season, defeating Southern New Hampshire University, 65-52, in Northeast-10 Conference action tonight at the Franklin Pierce Field house.

Franklin Pierce sophomore Stephanie Bergeron (Pointe Claire, Quebec/Dawson College) led all scorers with a season-high 19 points and two steals. She hit 6-of-10 shots from the field, including 3-of-6 from three-point range, and converted 4-of-4 free-throw attempts on the night. Freshman Jennifer Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England/Cheshire Academy) finished with 14 points for the Ravens, while also contributing five rebounds and four assists.


Junior Danielle D'Ettorre chipped in with 14 points and five rebounds to help lead the Ravens to a 65-52 win over Southern New Hampshire University.

Junior Danielle D’Ettorre (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario/St. Mary’s) nothced14 points and five rebounds in the Ravens win, while senior captain Heather Jacobs (Stoughton, Mass./Stoughton) added 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field, and six rebounds on the night.

            Southern New Hampshire senior captain Chrisondra Griffith (Brockton, Mass./Brockton) led the Penmen with ten points and five rebounds, on 4-of-6 shooting from the field. Sophomore Alex Giannopoulou (Thessalonika, Greece) was also solid, registering nine points and a game-high eight rebounds for the Penmen.

            Franklin Pierce (2-3, 2-1 NE-10) will travel to UMass Lowell on Saturday for a match starting at 3:30 p.m. Southern New Hampshire University (0-4, 0-4 NE-10) returns to action on Saturday, as it travels to New York Institute of Technology for a match starting at 2 p.m.
