Leedham Named 
NE-10 Freshman of the Week
Ellesmere Port, England, native receives 
first NE-10 weekly award after 2-0 week

RINDGE, N.H. (December 8, 2005) – Franklin Pierce point guard Jennifer Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference’s Freshman of the Week. The announcement was made Monday by the NE-10 Office in Easton, Mass.            

Leedham received her first weekly honor after averaging 13.5 points, four rebounds and four assists in a 2-0 week for Franklin Pierce last week. She also connected on 4-of-8 attempts from three-point range. Leedham totaled 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in the Ravens 65-52 win over Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday night. In Saturday’s 73-51 win at UMass Lowell, she contributed 13 points, three boards and four assists.

            Leedham, who attended Cheshire Academy in Connecticut, is averaging 11.9 points (14^th NE-10), 2.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists (10^th) through her first seven collegiate games. She is shooting 43.9-percent (29-66) from the field, including 10-of-26 (38.5%) from three-point range.

Franklin Pierce (4-3, 4-1 NE-10) is back in action tomorrow when it faces Saint Thomas Aquinas College in opening day action of the 41^st Pocono Classic, hosted by East Stroudsburg University at 1 p.m.
