Ravens round out regular season 
on high note, Stelmack nets 20

POULTNEY, Vt. (February 23, 2005) – Franklin Pierce rounded out the regular season on a high note with a 71-38 victory over Green Mountain College in non-conference women’s basketball action tonight.

            Sophomore guard Mollie Stelmack (New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster) led four Franklin Pierce players in double-figures with 20 points (12 second-half) to go with six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Junior Heather Jacobs (Stoughton, Mass./Stoughton) added 14 points, nine rebounds (six offensive) and two blocks, while sophomore Danielle D’Ettorre (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario/St. Mary’s) contributed 11 points, nine boards, four assists, four steals and three blocks. Freshman 


Sophomore Danielle D'Ettorre filled the stat sheet with 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four steals and three blocks.

Josie Lidke (Chaska, Minn./Chaska) rounded out the double-digit scorers with ten points, five rebounds (three offensive) and two steals.

            Senior Tanya DeLaMater (Troy, N.Y.) led Green Mountain with 12 points as she buried four-of-seven from three-point range. Classmate Jen Thompson (Ocean Township, N.J.) totaled 11 points and five rebounds, while sophomore Erica Raiche (Ira, Vt.) chipped in nine points and four boards.

            Green Mountain held an 18-15 lead with 12:46 to play in the first half, but Franklin Pierce held them off the scoreboard the rest of the half and built a 33-18 lead at the break. The Eagles scored a quick basket to start the second half, but the Ravens used a 27-9 run to open a 60-29 lead with 9:26 to play and put the game out of reach.

                Franklin Pierce (14-13, 10-12 NE-10) returns to action on Sunday when it opens the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament with first round action at seventh-seeded Bryant University at 2 p.m. The Ravens are the tenth seed after losing out on a three-way coin flip with Stonehill College and the College of Saint Rose this morning after the three finished in a three-way tie for eighth place with 10-12 NE-10 records. Green Mountain drops to 8-14.
