Five Ravens total double-digit kills in key conference victory


Sophomore Emily Schultz posted a career best 17 kills to lead the Ravens past   UMass Lowell, 3-1 on Tuesday night.

LOWELL, MASS. (October 3, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce women’s volleyball team posted a key conference victory, defeating UMass Lowell, 3-1 (27-30, 30-25, 30-16, 30-26) in Northeast-10 Conference action this evening at Costello Gym. The Ravens posted a season high 67 kills and 94 digs in the four game match to earn their tenth victory of the season.  

Sophomore Emily Schultz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) led a balanced Franklin Pierce effort as she recorded a career-best 17 kills to go with 14 digs and four blocks. Freshman Caitlynn Parnell (Medina, Texas/Medina) added 14 kills and a season-high 26 digs while classmate Katie Ristow (Miami, Fla./Miami Killian SHS) registered ten kills and seven digs in the victory.


Freshman Megan Feldmeth posted ten kills, hitting a team-best .435 percent with no errors in the Ravens 3-1 victory over
UMass Lowell.

Freshman Megan Feldmeth (South Pasadena, Calif./South Pasadena) contributed ten kills, hitting a team-high .435 percent with no errors, while sophomore captain Karissa Hookstadt (Camarillo, Calif./Camarillo) dished a career-high 59 assists to go with four kills and five digs. Senior captain Michelle McConnell (Elora, Ontario/Centre Wellington) chipped in with 26 digs

            Franklin Pierce (10-4, 5-2 NE-10) will be in action again on Saturday as it travels to the College of Saint Rose for a tri-match starting at 11 a.m. UMass Lowell (10-9, 5-2 NE-10) will travel to the College of Saint Rose on Friday at       7 p.m.
