Sophomore Christina Collett led the Ravens to their second straight victory on Wednesday.

Franklin Pierce Spikes Rivier, 3-0

NASHUA, N.H. (Sept. 29, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce volleyball team won their second straight match tonight, defeating host Rivier College 3-0 (30-28, 30-24, 30-24) in non-conference competition. With the win, the Ravens improve their record to 5-7 overall.

            Sophomore outside hitter Christina Collett (Tombstone, Ariz./Tombstone) sparked Franklin Pierce with nine kills, three aces and two digs, while sophomore Jade Cuevas (Leverett, Mass./Amherst Regional) chipped in with ten digs. Freshman setter Bria Williams (Chino Valley, Ariz./Chino Valley) led the Ravens offense with 22 assists, and sophomore outside hitter Ashley Milan (Bellingham, Mass./Bellingham) came off the bench to contribute four kills, an ace and a dig.

Franklin Pierce (5-7, 3-4 NE-10) will next be in action on Saturday, when they host the College of Saint Rose for a Northeast-10 Conference match beginning at 1 p.m. Rivier will participate in the Rhode Island College Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
