Franklin Pierce Falls to Bridgeport, 3-2 BRIDGEPORT,
Conn. (Oct. 23, 2003) – Franklin
Pierce suffered a 3-2 loss to University of Bridgeport in
non-Conference volleyball action this evening. Freshman
Christina Collett (Tombstone, Ariz./Tombstone) led
Franklin Pierce with 14 kills while also totaling two service aces and
17 digs. Classmate Erin Moseley (Billerica, Mass.Billerica) followed
with 12 kills, three aces, three digs and one block. Senior
setter, Bethany Findley (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) tallied
42 assists and 11 digs for the Ravens while Tara Vece (Clinton,
Conn./Morgan School) recorded a match-high 22 digs. Franklin Pierce (11-12, 4-9 NE-10) returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Concordia for a non-Conference match at 1 p.m. Bridgeport next hosts Saint Anselm on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Bridgeport 3, Franklin Pierce 2
