Ravens extend season best winning streak to six games

RINDGE, N.H. (Oct. 31, 2002) - The Franklin Pierce University
volleyball team extended its season-best winning streak to six games with a win a 3-0 win over Stonehill College in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball action at the FP
Field house this evening.

Sophomore Briana Bates (Belmont, N.H./Endicott College) led the offense with nine kills, while senior Heidi Jensen (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) followed with eight kills. Senior Catrina Cuevas (Aurora, Colo./J.I. O'Neill (N.Y.)) posted 11 digs and 13 assists, while junior Bethany Findley (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) dished 13 assists in the win.

Sophomore Melissa Chesarone and freshman Doree Blanco both registered a match-high 13 kills. Sophomore Heather Alfield added eight digs, while Liane Kilmain dished 16 helpers.

Franklin Pierce (14-9, 6-7 NE-10) wraps up the Northeast-10 Conference regular season on Tuesday when it hosts UMass Lowell in a League matchup at 7 p.m. Stonehill (4-18, 1-9 NE-10) next takes on Saint Michael's College and Bryant College in a Northeast-10 Conference tri-match in Smithfield, R.I. on Saturday starting at noon.
