(September 25, 2001) - Franklin Pierce University
recorded
its first Conference victory of the season and second-straight
win overall with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-24, 30-17) triumph
over Stonehill College in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball
action at Merkert Gymnasium tonight.
Junior Mandy
Johnson (Orange, Mass./Maher Regional) led FP
with 13 kills, 11 digs and four service aces, while
classmate Catrina Cuevas (Puyallup, Wash./J.J.
O'Neill, N.Y.) registered 19 assists and 13
digs.
Junior Heidi
Jensen (South Glen Falls, N.Y./South Glen Falls)
chipped in with ten kills, 11 digs and three aces in
the Ravens winning effort. The win was just the fourth
for FP
in 21 encounters in the all-time series with
the Lady Chieftains.
Junior Kim Zeppetelle
led Stonehill with 11 kills, ten digs, while freshman
Heather Alfield chipped in ten kills and ten digs.

NE-10) returns to action on Thursday, September 27,
when they travel to New London, N.H., to face Colby-Sawyer
College in a non-conference match at 7 p.m.
