Drops two at Le Moyne Tri-Match
Ravens fall to UMass Lowell and
Le Moyne, 3-0
SYRACUSE, N.Y.
(Oct. 13, 2001) - The Franklin Pierce University
volleyball
team fell to UMass Lowell and Le Moyne College by a
score of 3-0 this afternoon.

started off
the afternoon with a tough 3-0 loss to Le Moyne. Junior
Mandy Johnson (Orange, Mass./Maher Regional)
recorded 13 kills and five digs for the Ravens,
while classmate Catrina Cuevas (Puyallup, Wash./J.J.
O'Neill) registered nine kills. Sophomore setter
Bethany Findley (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School)
added 20 assists.
Le Moyne was led
by Jessica Burns who tallied nine kills, and junior
Britni Trapasso who totaled 31 assists.
The Ravens followed
the match with a 3-0 loss to UMass Lowell. Johnson recorded
eight kills, ten digs, and served two aces. Cuevas also
notched eight kills, and tacked on seven assists. Findley
totaled 13 assists. Junior Heidi Jensen (South
Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) had nine
digs.
UMass Lowell was
led by junior middle hitter Jamie Guyer who had 19 kills,
and setter Andrea Turner who dished 41 assists.
The Ravens (7-7,
3-6 NE-10) return to the court on Tuesday, October 16,
when they travel to Bentley College for a Northeast-10
battle at 7:30 p.m.
