Anselm Outlasts FPC, 3-1
MANCHESTER,
N.H. (Oct. 30, 2001) - The Franklin Pierce University
volleyball team fell to Saint Anselm College by a score
of 3-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action this evening.
Saint Anselm was
led by Marissa Caron who totaled 15 kills and eight
digs. Kristine Howell registered 13 kills and 23 digs.
Setter Robin Hinchey recorded 40 assists and served
four aces for the Hawks.
FPC's Mandy
Johnson (Orange, Mass./Maher Regional) led all
players with 26 kills, and recorded seven digs and seven
service aces despite the loss. Sophomore setter Bethany
Findley (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) dished
29 assists and junior Catrina Cuevas (Puyallup,
Wash./J.J. O'Neill N.Y.) notched 13 helpers
and served five aces.
The Ravens (8-13,
4-9 NE-10) return to action on Thursday when they travel
to Teikyo Post for a non-conference matchup at 7 pm.
Saint Anselm (13-15, 6-7 NE-10) next hosts Pace University
for its final home match of the season on Sunday at
1:30 p.m.
