Franklin Pierce Rowers Adjust to Cancellation
of New Hampshire Championships 

RINDGE, N.H. (October 13, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce men’s and women’s rowing programs have made a schedule adjustment with the cancellation of the New Hampshire Championships this weekend in Hooksett, N.H.

            The teams will travel to Greene, Maine, where Bates College will host a handful of New England college teams on the Androscoggin River on Saturday. Franklin Pierce also saw the majority of the Head of the Connecticut washed out due to heavy rains, flooding and floating logs on the Connecticut River, in Waterbury, Conn., last Sunday. The two postponements have put all crews in the Northeast in a pinch with the 41^st Head of the Charles Regatta just a week away.

            Following the Head of the Charles, Franklin Pierce will round out its fall schedule at the Head of the Fish, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on October 29.
