Crew Has a Solid Finish at Textile Regatta

LOWELL, MASS. (Sept. 30, 2001) - FPC's young men's and women's crew teams had solid finishes in the Textile River Regatta, as the women finished 10th out of 41 competitors in open fours, and the men finished 15th out of 31 boats in open fours.

The women's team finished with a time of 23:34, just 1:18 minutes off of the pace set by Community Rowing Incorporated.

The men's team made dramatic improvements this year, as they went from a 26th place finish with a time of 22:08 to a 15th place finish with their time of 21:46. The winner of the men's race was the Gunnery Crew team with a time of 19:14.

Although competing in a field of stronger competitors, the team continues to show improvement in its fifth year of existence.

crew team next competes at the New Hampshire Championships on October 13.
