Women Finish 21st at Head of Charles Regatta

Men Follow With 41st Place Finish
BOSTON, Mass. (October
21, 2000)-- The Franklin Pierce women's crew team continued
its ascent towards a plce with the elite rowing clubs
with a 21st place showing at the Head of the Charles Regatta
in Boston, Mass on Saturday.
The Ravens finished with
a time of 21:17.10, which was 1:35.10 off the winning
pace set by the South Chicago Rowing Club. Among collegitae
programs, only five schoools finished ahead of Franklin
Pierce. The University of Vermont topped the list, finishing
in seventh place with a time of 20:19.78.
FP
finished ahead of
other programs such as Yale University, Assumption College,
New York University, and University of Maryland at Baltimore.
On the men's side, Franklin
Pierce finished 41st out of 60 competing teams. The Ravens
finished with a time of 19:35.36, two minutes off the
pace of Lincoln Park Boating Club. The Ravens finished
16th among collegiate programs, including St. Michael's
College who fiished the race two seconds ahead of FPC.
