BISHARRA ETTIENNE

Ettienne earned NE-10 honors for the first time in his two-year Franklin Pierce career after netting both match-winning goals as the Ravens opened their 2006 season with a pair of victories at the Southern Connecticut State Autumn Classic over the weekend. He scored the deciding goal with just 5:03 remaining in regulation as the Ravens opened the season with a 2-1 victory over the University of Bridgeport on Friday evening. Ettienne netted the lone goal in Sunday’s 1-0 decision over No. 11 Dominican College in the 55th minute.

Ettienne is tied for sixth in the Northeast-10 with his four points through two matches this season. He is also a mainstay at center back for the Ravens defense which yielded just a goal over two matches so far this season. In 28 career matches for Franklin Pierce, Ettienne has totaled seven goals and an assist for 15 points. He was a first team NSCAA/adidas Division II All-New England Region selection in 2005 and is a member of Dominica’s Men’s National Team.

MICHELLE McCONNELL

McConnell collected NE-10 honors for the first time after moving to the libero position for the Ravens this season. She earned All-Tournament team honors in her debut at the UMass Lowell River Hawks Invitational, helping lead the Ravens to a 2-1 mark. McConnell averaged 6.08 digs per game over the event, posting a team-high 37 digs in a 3-2 win over UMass Lowell. She tallied 18 digs in a 3-1 win over LIU-C.W. Post and also chipped in 18 digs against the University of Charleston.

Mello earned NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the fifth time in her three-year career at the College. She notched six saves in posting her 16th career shutout in Friday’s 2-0 victory over Holy Family University, preseason favorites in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Four of Mello’s saves came in the second half as she moved into fifth place on the program’s career shutout list.

JENNA MELLO

In 34 career matches for the Ravens, Mello has posted a 28-2-3 record with a 0.66 goals against average and .800 save percentage to go with her 16 shutouts. She ranks third in program history in career GAA and sixth in save percentage and saves (88).
