Schedule Set for NCAA RINDGE, N.H. (November 19, 2007) – Match times have been set for the NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Final Four, hosted by the University of West Florida and the City of Orange Beach, Ala., it was announced today. Both the men’s and women’s championships are being hosted for the second-straight year at the Orange Beach Sportsplex, the annual home of the Southeastern Conference Women’s Soccer Championships. The Franklin Pierce women’s soccer team (17-1-5, 9-1-4 NE-10), ranked 16th in the final regular season National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Division II poll, will battle No. 2-ranked Seattle Pacific University (23-0-0) in the second of two national semifinals on Thursday, November 29, at 6 p.m. (EST). Franklin Pierce is making its NCAA Division II record 14th Final Four appearance after a one-year absence. The full women’s schedule is listed below. The Franklin Pierce men’s soccer team (16-2-3, 11-0-2), ranked fourth in the final regular season NSCAA/adidas Division II men’s poll, will face 7th-ranked Midwestern State (Texas) University (19-3-0) in the second of two semifinals on Friday, November 30, at 6 p.m. (EST). Franklin Pierce is making its third Final Four appearance in program history and second in three years. The full men’s schedule is below. The Franklin Pierce men and women have reached the Final Four in the same year for the second time in three seasons after the two squads advanced to Wichita Falls, Texas, in 2005. All Franklin Pierce matches will be broadcast live on WFPU-LP 105.3 FM and simulcast via www.franklinpierce.edu/athletics. The National Championship matches will also be televised live on College Sports Television (CSTV).
