Willie Davis
Assistant Coach

Willie Davis is entering his third year as assistant men’s soccer coach at Franklin Pierce University. He assists head coach Marco Koolman in all aspects of team and individual training, match preparation, team recruiting and scouting.

Since joining the program, the Ravens have posted a 33-8-8 (.755) record, captured back-to-back Northeast-10 Conference regular season championships and the 2006 NE-10 Tournament title. Franklin Pierce has hosted each of the last two NCAA Tournament New England Regionals, capturing the title in 2005 en route to reaching the National Championship match for the first time in program history.

Davis came to Franklin Pierce after relocating from Louisiana where he had remarkable success as an organizer and coach at the youth and Olympic Developmental Program (ODP) levels. Davis began the Rage Futbol Federation (all girls premier club) in 1998 in Lafayette, La., before making a move to Baton Rouge Soccer Club, where he spent four years and was promoted to the Director of Player Development in 2004.  During his time in Baton Rouge, Davis helped guide one of his three teams (U-16 girls) to a No. 16 national ranking.

Davis has been the head state staff coach for two Louisiana ODP teams. He has coached both girls and boys high school soccer, earning a State Championship in 2001.  He currently holds a USSF “B” License as well as a National Y (youth) license.

Davis played three years for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette from 1993-1996, serving as team captain his last year.  During his time with the Ragin’ Cajuns, he helped lead the team to a Sun Belt Conference title in 1994, earning All-Conference honors in ‘94 and ‘95. Davis went on to play with the Lafayette Lightening PDL team for a season before turning to coaching full time.

Originally from Fallschurch, Va., Davis spent a large part of life in Louisiana. He majored in pre-law at Louisiana-Lafayette and also taught physical education at Ascension Day School in Lafayette. He currently resides in Concord, N.H., with his wife, Eva Al-Khouri Davis, who is enrolled in Franklin Pierce’s physical therapy program. Willie and Eva welcomed their first child, daughter Syrianna Rajaa, into the world on June 13. In addition to his duties with the Ravens men’s soccer team, Davis is also the head coach of men’s and women’s tennis at the University.
