Team Captain. All-America and NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year candidate. First four-time NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year in Conference history. Set a new NCAA record in all divisions by playing 8,391:11 in net over four seasons. Finished his career with program- and Northeast-10 Conference-record 49 career shutouts and an 0.66 goals against average. Was an incredible 6-1 over his collegiate career in penalty shootouts, winning his last six. Stopped 17 penalty attempts (including shootouts) over his career. Honed his skills with the Cape Cod Crusaders of the PDL before his senior season.

2007: NSCAA/adidas Div. II Player of the Year and NSCAA/adidas first-team All-America and All-New England Region honoree. Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year and NE-10 first-team selection. Played all 2154:16 of action this season for the Ravens, serving as team tri-captain. Finished with a 17-2-4 record, a 0.63 goals against average and a .786 save percentage with a conference-best 12 shutouts. Led the Northeast-10 with eight shutouts and a 0.52 GAA in 13 conference matches. Had a 392:03 shutout streak spanning five matches (9/12-29). Made a season-high nine saves in a shutout win over Merrimack (10/10), beginning a streak of four consecutive shutouts (and a 408:11 scoreless streak). Allowed two goals in the NCAA New England Regional, earning All-Tournament team honors. Made six saves during play and then turned away two-of-four penalty-shot attempts as the Ravens advanced to the National Championship match with a shootout win over Midwestern State (11/30). Made one save as Franklin Pierce defeated Lincoln Memorial, 1-0, to win the National Championship (12/2). Named the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Defensive Player.

Recorded a 0.19 GAA (two goals in 11 games) and a .939 save percentage with seven shutouts in 11 Conference matches. Recorded a 451:42 shutout streak spanning six contests (9/2-9/23). Made a season-high six saves to preserve 1-0 victory over No. 11 Dominican (8/27). Stopped three shots in 0-0 double-overtime draw at No. 25 UMass Lowell and was named the Jeff Burstein Man-of-the-Match for his efforts. Posted five saves in 1-0 victory at American International (9/16). Yielded just two goals with two shutouts in three NE-10 Tournament games, stopping 3-of-5 shootout attempts in a semifinal win over Southern New Hampshire (10/27) and stopping one shootout attempt in the title-game victory over Southern Connecticut State (10/29) to earn Tournament MVP honors. Made one save for his 12th shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Southern New Hampshire in the NCAA New England Regional semifinal (11/2). Named NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Week four times (9/18, 10/8, 10/23 & 10/30) and NE-10 Player of the Week once (10/30).

Appeared in the "Faces in the Crowd" section of the December 13th issue of Sports Illustrated. Started all 24 matches and played 2,122:52 in the Ravens goal. Set program single-season record with a 0.68 goals against average (first in NE-10) and 14 shutouts to go with a .826 save percentage. Shutout total led Division II and ranks as the fourth highest single-season total in DII history. Posted the top two scoreless minute streaks in program history this fall, including a record 578:52 string that surpassed his own mark of 518:38 set earlier in the year. Posted a 0.57 goals against average and .865 save percentage with eight shutouts in 13 NE-10 regular season matches. In six postseason matches, registered a 0.47 GAA, .875 save percentage and four shutouts. Did not yield a goal in 290-minutes of play during the NE-10 Tournament. Made four saves in posting his first career shutout against No. 11 Rollins (8/29). Registered five saves to preserve 1-0 shutout at Saint Michael’s (9/21). Before Franklin Pierce: Prepped at Bridgton Academy in Maine for one year. Earned All-New England honors as he was converted to the goalkeeping position. 2003 graduate of Springfield Cathedral High School. Four year letterwinner served as team captain as a senior. Earned All-State honors as a junior and senior. Led Conference in scoring his senior season with 26 goals for Western Mass Championship winning team. Named tournament MVP.

Personal: Born February 17, 1985, in Springfield, Mass. Son of Tony and Angela Thorpe of East Longmeadow, Mass. Has two sisters, Desire (26) and Danielle (18), and a brother, Jonathan (21). Brother is a junior running back and punter at American International College. Majoring in mass communication. Supports Manchester United. Michael Jordan is a favorite athlete. Aspires a career in professional soccer.
