Sophomore Henning Comé (Göteborg, Sweden) and junior Frantz Francois (Saint-Marc, Haiti/Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.)) led the way as Franklin Pierce scored three goals in a five-minute span early in the second half to turn the match on its head after Southern New Hampshire held a 1-0 lead at the half. Grad student David Clifton (London, England) and senior captain Michel Vitulano (Montreal, Quebec/College de Maisonneuve) each finished with assists on the night.

Senior All-American James Thorpe (East Longmeadow, Mass./Bridgton Academy) finished with four saves (all first half) to preserve the victory for Franklin Pierce. Senior Dan Pelc (Hamilton, Ontario/St. Thomas More) made five saves in his final collegiate match for Southern New Hampshire. The Ravens finished with a 12-6 advantage in shots for the match, including a 7-0 margin in the second half.

Senior Matt Delaney (Wallasey, England) put SNHU in front 17:32 into the match when he pounced on a loose ball and knocked it into an open net after Thorpe was caught out of position while challenging a free kick by sophomore Kevin Woods (Alyth, Scotland) at the top of the penalty area.

Franklin Pierce answered 7:40 into the second half when Francois took a pass from Clifton and fired a rocket that Pelc was able to get in front of, but couldn’t prevent from crossing the goal line for the equalizer. The Ravens struck again just 2:21 later as Comé one-timed a cross from the right side by Francois on the far post for the match-winner at 55:01. Franklin Pierce added an insurance goal at the 57-minute mark as Vitulano found Comé with a pass for a shot past Pelc and his 15th goal of the season.
