RINDGE,
N.H. (April 3, 2005) – Le
Moyne College, ranked No. 1 in this week’s USILA Division II men’s
lacrosse poll, blanked Franklin Pierce 19-0 today in a Northeast-10
Conference contest at Sodexho Field in Rindge, N.H. The Dolphins picked
up their 22nd-straight win overall and 56th-straight
in Conference play.
Freshman Mike McLaughlin (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill)
led the Le Moyne offense with six points, including five goals and an
assist. Juniors Craig Rosencrans (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna)
and Jason Longo (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia), along with
senior Kyle Reichel (East Syracuse, N.Y./ES-M) and
freshman Mike McDonald (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) each totaled
three points for the Dolphins. Rosencrans, Longo and Reichel notched two
goals apiece, while McDonald contributed two helpers and a goal.
Freshmen Andrew Carducci (Syracuse, N.Y./Henninger) and Brian
Cost (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesse) also chipped in with two
markers each.
Junior goalkeeper Jared Corcoran (Concord, N.H./Concord)
picked up his fourth win of the season between the pipes for the
Dolphins, while freshman Freeman Scott (Farmington, Maine/Mt.
Blue) took the loss in net for Franklin Pierce. Franklin Pierce (0-2, 0-1 NE-10) will be in action again on Tuesday when they travel to Assumption College for a league game beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Ravens will return home on Thursday to face Saint Michael’s College in a Northeast-10 Conference clash starting at 6:00 p.m. Le Moyne (6-0, 6-0 NE-10) returns home to face Conference foe Saint Anselm on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. #1 Le Moyne 19, Franklin Pierce 0
