Bentley Skips Past RINDGE,
N.H. (April 10, 2005) – Bentley
College, ranked No. 10 in this week’s USILA Division II lacrosse poll,
picked up a 15-2 victory over Franklin Pierce this afternoon in a
Northeast-10 Conference tilt at Sodexho Field in Rindge, N.H. The
Falcons took a 10-1 advantage into halftime and held on for their second
straight win. Sophomore
Kevin Osborne (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) led
all scorers with three points on a goal and two assists. Senior Joshua
Kurland (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) and sophomore Dalton
Van Hatcher (Tigard, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) each notched a pair
of markers, while sophomore Craig Cormier (South Windsor,
Conn./South Winsor) added two helpers for Bentley. The
Ravens goals were scored by freshmen Luke Ferreira (Farmington,
Maine/Mt. Blue) and John Reposa (South Kingstown,
R.I./South Kingstown). Assisting on the goals were freshmen Jordan
Handy (Burlington, Vt./Burlington) and Russell Hodson (Chillmark,
Mass./Martha’s Vineyard). Falcons
junior goalkeeper Chris White (Billerica, Mass./Billerica)
picked up the win, while Ravens freshmen netminder Freeman Scott
(Farmington, Maine/Mt. Blue) saved a career-best 25 shots in
defeat. Franklin
Pierce (0-5, 0-4 NE-10) travels to the University of Southern New
Hampshire for a Northeast-10 Conference tilt tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. The
Ravens will return home on Wednesday for a league game versus Saint
Anselm College at 6:00 p.m. Bentley (3-4, 3-2 NE-10) will host
Conference foe Assumption College on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Bentley 15, Franklin Pierce 2
