Willis Named NE-10 
Freshman of the Week
Hingham, Mass., native earns program's 
first-ever award

RINDGE, N.H. (April 5, 2004) – Franklin Pierce attack Mike Willis (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week in men’s lacrosse this afternoon.

         Willis, who earns the first weekly honor of any kind in program history, totaled three points in two games for Franklin Pierce last week. He totaled two goals and an assist in the Ravens 14-10 non-conference setback at Dominican College on Saturday.

         Willis ranks second on the team in his first collegiate season with five goals and four assists for nine points in five games. He has also chipped in with five groundballs. Willis played a role in four of the Ravens five goals with two goals and two assists at Southern New Hampshire University on March 27.

         Franklin Pierce (0-5, 0-2 NE-10) returns to action on Thursday for a Conference battle at Saint Michael’s College at 3:30 p.m.
