Worcester State’s Bruso wins individual title with three-over-par 74 

JAFFREY, N.H. (April 30, 2008) – For the second-straight year, Franklin Pierce University capped its season with a team victory at its home Spring Invitational on the par-71 The Shattuck this afternoon.

            Franklin Pierce turned in a team score of 348 to finish 11-strokes ahead of second-place Elms College (359). Worcester State College took third (362), while Green Mountain College placed fourth (470). For the second-straight year, a Worcester State golfer took the Franklin Pierce Invitational individual title as freshman Bob Bruso (Auburn, Mass.) carded a three-over-par round of 74 under blustery and cold conditions on The Shattuck.

            Junior Corey Dunn (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Comsewogue) led Franklin Pierce to the team title with a round of 78 to finish second overall. Senior Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) rounded out his four-year career with an 80 for a third-place finish.
