SYRACUSE, N.Y. (October 2, 2006) - The Franklin Pierce men’s golf team placed 19th at the ECAC Division II Championships, hosted by Le Moyne College, on the 6,213-yard, par-71, Drumlins Golf Club over the last two days.

            Franklin Pierce posted a two-day score of 660 (330-330), while Post University took the team title with a score of 595 (291-304). Pace University was second (298-303=601), while Bryant University (302-300=602) rounded out the top three. Lloyd Notely of Post took medalist honors with a four-under-par total of 138 (67-71) over the two days.

            Junior Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) led Franklin Pierce with a two-day score of 160 (81-79) over the two days for a 64th place finish. Sophomore Corey Dunn (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Comsewogue) and freshman Peter Panopoulos (Rindge, N.H./Conant) both placed 79th overall, totaling 164.

Franklin Pierce returns to the links on Wednesday, October 11, when it hosts its second Fall Invitational of the year at The Shattuck at noon.
