Junior Paul Izzi leads the Ravens to spring tournament win

RINDGE, N.H. (April 25, 2003) - The Franklin Pierce men's golf team rebounded from last week's fourth place finish at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational with a first place finish at the Franklin Pierce University
Invitational at the Shattuck Golf Course this afternoon.

Franklin Pierce posted score of 353, just a little under Elms College, who placed second with a score of 366. Freshman Sean Hammond (Hadley, Mass./Hopkins Academy) earned medallist honors for the Blazers, as he shot an 80 to lead all golfers at the tournament. New England College placed third with a score of 385, while MCLA finished four with a 404.

Junior Paul Izzi (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) paced the Ravens with an 84, while classmate Alex Hodgman (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) shot an 86 to help the cause. Junior Mike Smith (Hanover, Mass./Hanover) followed with an 88, while freshman Dave Reid also had a solid showing with his score of 95.
