All-Northeast-10 Conference Honors

senior forward Kevin Scott
(Mississauga, Ontario/Iona Catholic) has earned
second team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors as announced
prior to tonight’s Conference quarterfinal round action
by the League office.
The All-Conference teams are selected
by the 15 head coaches in the Northeast-10. Scott earns
his first All-Conference selection after leading Franklin
Pierce by averaging 15.4 points (15th in the NE-10), 8.7
rebounds (2nd NE-10), 1.6 blocks (3rd NE-10) and 1.5 steals
per game this season. His .527 (173-328) shooting percentage
ranks sixth in the Conference and he also posted ten double-doubles
this season which currently ranks second in the League.
Scott led the Ravens in rebounding
in 21 of 27 games this year and in scoring ten times.
He earned All-Tournament honors at both the season-opening
Clarion KFC/Subway Classic and at the California (Pa.)
Holiday Inn/Food for the Hungry Tournament just after
Christmas. He netted a season-high 27 points at The College
of Saint Rose on November 20 and pulled down a season-best
14 rebounds at Le Moyne College on January 19. He also
became the 23rd player in program history to reach the
1,000-point plateau at Le Moyne.
Scott finished his career at Franklin
Pierce with 1,181 career points (20th all-time at FPC),
693 rebounds (7th all-time) and 138 blocks (4th all-time).
He netted a career-high 37 points, on 16-of-22 shooting
from the field, to lead the Ravens to an upset of Saint
Anselm College in the 2001 Northeast-10 Conference Quarterfinals.
Scott averaged 25.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks
in three Tournament games last season.
Franklin Pierce wrapped up its
season with a 15-12 record overall and a 12-10 mark in
NE-10 play. The Ravens made their 24th-straight postseason
appearance, but was defeated by Saint Rose in the first
round of the Conference Tournament over the weekend.
