Munch,
an NE-10 Freshman of the Year candidate, is averaging 11.6 points (2nd
on team) and 3.6 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game in his first
collegiate season. He is shooting a team-best 78.7-percent (37-47)
from the free-throw line and is second with 46 three-pointers, hitting
at 33.6% (46-137) from beyond the arc.
Munch has led the Ravens in scoring seven times this season,
including a team season-high total 31-point night in just his second
collegiate outing, an 83-57 victory over CUNY-Baruch. His 22 points at
Bentley on Tuesday was his season-high in NE-10 play. Munch has also
picked up his production on the glass, leading the Ravens in
rebounding four times this season (all since January 14).
Franklin
Pierce (13-11, 10-9 NE-10) is back in action tomorrow night with a key
Northeast-10 battle at Merrimack College (11-13, 9-10 NE-10) in North
Andover, Mass., at 7:30 p.m. The game (along with the women’s
contest at 5:30 p.m., will be broadcast live on WFPC-LP 105.3 FM and
simulcast over the internet at www.franklinpierce.edu
/athletics.
The teams enter the contest separated by just a game for eighth place in the NE-10 standings. The Ravens can clinch home court advantage for the first round of the NE-10 Tournament with a win over the Warriors in the lone regular season encounter between the two.
