Moragne notches a game-high 24 points in River Hawk win

RINDGE, N.H. (December 3, 2005) – Franklin Pierce suffered a tough loss to UMass Lowell,81-64, in Northeast-10 Conference action tonight at the Costello Gym.

UMass Lowell senior Stacey Moragne (Evanston, IL) scored 24 points to lead UMass Lowell over Franklin Pierce. Moragne converted 8 of 11 field goals and 7 of 8 free throws while grabbing five rebounds. Senior Brandon Arnette (Lake Park, FL) scored 19 points, shooting 7 for 11, and dished out six assists. Sophomore Jerreh Saidybah (Montreal, QUE) added 11 points on 5 of 10 shooting, along with five rebounds.

Franklin Pierce senior Pierre Sully (Jamaica Plain, Mass./North Cambridge) led the Ravens with 21 points and seven rebounds while shooting 7 for 12 from the floor. Freshman Tim Munch (Blauvelt, N.Y./North King Prep) added 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field, including 3-of-8 from three-point range..                       

            Franklin Pierce (3-2, 1-2) will travel to Saint Rose College on Wednesday for a match starting at 7:30 p.m. UMass Lowell (5-1, 3-1 NE-10) returns to action on Monday as it host Le Moyne College for a match starting at 7:30 p.m.
