Junior Ryan Jones Recorded a win at #3 singles against Nazareth.

Nazareth Tops Franklin Pierce, 7-2

HILTON HEAD, S.C. (March 15, 2004) - Franklin Pierce men's tennis fell 7-2 to Nazareth in Hilton Head, South Carolina this morning.

Captains Darko Minic (Belgrade, Serbia/XII Belgrade Gimnasium) and Maciej Szpakowski (Cieszyn, Poland/Mattituck (N.Y.)) put the Ravens out in front with an 8-6 win at #1 doubles over Jefferson Dargauot and Ben Klempa, but Franklin Pierce then went on to suffer losses at #2 and #3 doubles and all but one singles match as Nazareth secured the victory.

The Ravens’ second point came at #3 singles as Ryan Jones (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) defeated Matt Noble 6-1, 6-2.

Franklin Pierce (2-3, 1-0 NE-10) returns to the court tomorrow as it faces Shepherd and Allegheny at Noon and 6 p.m.
