Colleen Dunleavy '92
There were few athletes who displayed the versatility of Colleen Dunleavy.

A native of Plainview, N.Y., Dunleavy was an athlete for all seasons, competing in volleyball, basketball and softball as she racked up 12 varsity letters during her four years in Rindge. She was a team captain in all three sports.

As a cousin of Mike Dunleavy, the coach of the NBA Portland Trail Blazers, it shouldn't be surprising that Colleen experienced her most success in basketball.

As a hard-working forward, she ranks 16th in scoring (977 points), seventh in rebounding (686) and ninth in steals (146). The Ravens were 71-46 during her career, went to the NCAA Division II tournament twice and won the New England Collegiate Conference once.

As an outfielder in softball, she ranks among the career leaders in runs (50), doubles (16), triples (9), runs batted in (66) and average (.304). She had an incredible sophomore season, leading the team in average (.349), runs (17), doubles (5), triples (3), home runs (2) and RBI (14).

Dunleavy was a four-year starter in volleyball, twice earning all-conference honors and twice being named the team's most valuable player.

A team captain, she helped the Ravens to back-to-back 20-plus win seasons and a spot in the ECAC Division II tournament in 1992.
