RINDGE, N.H. (Oct. 25, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce field hockey team defeated visiting Saint Anselm College 2-1 in overtime today. Down 1-0 with less than 20 minutes remaining in regulation, the Ravens fought back to tie the score before eventually winning in the first overtime. Franklin Pierce finished the season with a record of 6-11 overall and 5-11 in Northeast-10 play, while Saint Anselm ended with an overall mark of 4-13 and league record of 4-12.

Franklin Pierce fought back to knot the score at one, as senior Amanda McIntosh (Madison, N.J./Madsion) celebrated senior day by netting her first career goal in the 54th minute of play. Neither team scored for the remainder of the second half, sending the match to overtime.

Junior Trisha Langevin (Bellingham, Mass./Bellingham) ended the match 11:20 into overtime, as she capitalized on a Franklin Pierce penalty corner opportunity to notch her first goal of the season. The game-winner, which was assisted by senior Elise Porter (Pepperell, Mass./North Middlesex), gave the Ravens a 2-1 victory.
