Academic All-America and ABCA All-Region candidate. Looks to repeat the efforts from a breakout sophomore season. Ranks among career leaders at the College in earned run average (3rd), wins (7th), complete games (8th) and strikeouts (10th) Hails from the same high school as Red Sox legend and broadcaster Jerry Remy.
2004: Earned second team ABCA/Rawlings All-Northeast Region and first team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors after a breakout season. Participated in the NEIBA All-Star Game at Fenway Park. Pitched one inning (third) and yielded three earned runs on three hits with no walks against the Division I All-Stars. Made 14 appearances, ten starts for the Ravens. Posted a team-best 8-1 record with a save, 2.76 ERA, 68 strikeouts and staff-low 18 walks in 88.0 innings of work. Held opposing batters to a .227 batting average and also registered five complete games and two shutouts. Picked off two baserunners. Ranks among single-season leaders in wins (4th), appearances (5th), innings (5th), ERA (7th) and strikeouts (10th). Became the first pitcher in program history to open a season 8-0, which matched the program record for consecutive winning decisions and also established records for consecutive shutout innings (17.2) as well as consecutive innings without yielding an earned run (36.1). Was 7-1 with a save, a team-low 1.33 ERA, 44 strikeouts and 14 walks in 61.0 innings pitched in Conference play, limiting opposing batters to a team-low .180 batting average. Posted a 5-0 record with a save and 0.17 ERA (1 ER in 54.1 IP) in eight apperances (five starts) on the road, fanning 42 and walking a mere six batters. Held opposing batters to a .228 average with runners on base, leadoff batters to a .183 average, a .163 average with runners in scoring position and two out. Registered a 1.63 ERA (5 ER in 27.2 IP) from the seventh inning on. Allowed just one unearned run on three hits with a career-best ten strikeouts and no walks in win at American International (3/27). Earned a win with 4.1 innings of two-hit shutout relief with three strikeouts at Merrimack (3/30). Picked up his first career save with two innings of one-hit shutout relief at Bryant (4/3). Posted a seven-hit shutout with five strikeouts and just one walk at Bentley (4/9). Yielded just one unearned run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in a complete-game win at Assumption (4/16). Fired a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and two walks for his eighth-straight winning decision at Stonehill (4/25). Did not receive a decision in two postseason starts, posting a 3.77 ERA with 14 strikeouts and two walks in 14.1 innings. Allowed just an earned run on five hits with eight strikeouts and no walks in a career-high ten innings in 11-inning loss at UMass Lowell in opening game of the Northeast-10 Tournament. Named NE-10 Pitcher of the Week once (4/25).
2003: Made eight appearances with three starts. Was 1-2 with a 5.91 ERA, 13 strikeouts and five walks over 21.1 innings of work. Averaged 13.1 outs on the ground, compared to 5.1 in the air per game. Fired a complete-game four-hit shutout in his collegiate debut against North Dakota (3/19) with six strikeouts and a walk in the seven-inning game.
Previous College: Transferred from UMass, where he was a redshirt freshman.
High School: 2001 graduate of Somerset High School. Four year letterwinner, served as team captain his senior year. Earned EAC All-Star honors and the Jerry Remy Award, given annually to the team MVP. Also lettered in football and basketball. Was part of an AAU program that captured a silver medal at the Junior Olympic games.
Personal: Born October 28, 1983, in Fall River, Mass. Son of Jeff and Louise Brouillard of Westport, Mass. Has a brother, Mitchell (14). Dean's List student majoring in marketing with a minor in information technology. Member Sigma Beta Delta National Honor Society.
