EASTHAM, Mass. (March 9, 2002)

(Westminster, Mass./Oakmont Regional) fired a no-hitter
to lead FP

Jon White fanned a career-high
14 batters to lead FP
to their second win of the
afternoon

In game two for Franklin Pierce,
junior righty Jon White (Medford, Mass./Arlington
Catholic) fanned a career-high 14 batters as the
Ravens posted a 7-1 victory over Saint Michael's College.
White (1-0) went the distance in
the eight-inning game as he allowed one earned run on five
hits and just one walk to go with the 14 strikeouts.
Loiseau helped break a scoreless
tie in the third, when he stroked an RBI triple that scored
sophomore Greg Basile (Suffield, Conn./Suffield).
Loiseau later scored on another triple off the bat of junior
Paul McAuliffe (Foxboro, Mass./Foxboro).
With hits in the two games, Loiseau
extended his school-record hitting streak to 20-games, which
dates back to last season. He finished the nightcap hitting
2-4 with the triple and RBI.
Saint Michael's closed the gap to
3-1 in the bottom half of the third as freshman David Deyo
doubled and scored on an RBI single by senior Juan Montanez.
The Ravens broke the game open in
the fourth with three more runs as an RBI double by senior
Eric Burney (Rockville, Conn./Rockville)
scored Cavers and Mike Callahan (Worcester, Mass./St.
Peter Marian).
Dunn had another solid game as he
hit 2-2 with two doubles and a run scored for FP
in the
nightcap.
Sophomore Richard Dailey suffered
the loss (0-1) for the Purple Knights as he allowed three
earned runs on five hits with no walks and four strikeouts
in three innings pitched.
