All-Stars, 7-5
BOSTON, Mass. (May 30, 2002)
- Franklin Pierce University
senior Scott Loiseau (Worcester,
Mass./St. Peter Marian) started at shortstop, while
junior righthander Chris Shank (Westminster, Mass./Oakmont
Regional) pitched the third inning in the New England
Intercollegiate Baseball Association's 28th Annual All-Star
Game at Fenway Park today.

a line drive in the third inning.

Loiseau hit 0-2 in his only plate
appearances, but his line drive to right-center to leadoff
the third inning appeared like it would fall for extra bases
before the Univesity Division centerfielder tracked it down
in the gap. Loiseau, who batted second in the lineup, flew
out to rightfield in the first inning.
Shank pitched the third inning and
after walking the leadoff hitter, settled down and retired
the next three batters he faced. Shank used 13 pitches in
the inning, getting two fly ball and one ground ball out.
The University All-Stars (Division
I) held on for a 7-5 victory over the College All-Stars
(Divisions II & III).
