Scott Savastano was named the NE-10 Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season today.

Savastano earns his fourth Freshman of the Week honor of the season after leading the No. 7-ranked Franklin Pierce baseball team to a pair of doubleheader sweeps over the weekend. He hit a combined 9-for-15 (.600) over the four games with five runs scored, two doubles, a triple, stolen base and five RBI. He slugged .867 for the weekend, posted a .625 on-base percentage and was error free in seven chances at third base.

In the Ravens sweep of Caldwell on Sunday, he was 1-for-3 with a double, RBI, stolen base and run scored in game one, then hit 2-4 with a triple, RBI and run scored in the nightcap.

Savastano, a 33rd round draft pick of the Chicago White Sox out of high school last June, leads Franklin Pierce with a .548 (23-for-42) batting average through the first 13 games of his collegiate career. He has also scored 19 runs and totaled a team-high six doubles to go with two triples, a home run and ten RBI.
