RINDGE, N.H.
(July 10, 2008) –
44 Franklin Pierce University student-athletes have been named
to the Northeast-10 Conference’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll for
the 2007-08 academic year. The 44 Ravens were among a
Conference-record 756 student-athletes league-wide named to the
Honor Roll in an announcement today by the Conference office and
new commissioner,
Julie Ruppert.
The
Commissioner’s Honor Roll is determined and submitted by each
institution’s Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR). The annual
award recognizes student-athletes at each of the league’s 15
institutions for their success in the classroom.
“It is with great
admiration that I congratulate our student-athletes on their
accomplishments and success in the classroom during the academic
year,” said Ruppert. “The Northeast-10 takes great pride in the
academic excellence of our student-athletes and I applaud them
for their accomplishments in the classroom as well as being able
to dedicate themselves to their respective sport.”
The Honor Roll
includes a gold, silver and bronze scholar athlete list. Each
Gold Scholar finished in the top five percent for grade point
average among student-athletes at their institution,
respectively. Silver Scholars finished in the top six through
ten percent and Bronze Scholars placed among the top 11 through
15 percent.

Pierce’s 44 honorees are nine from the NCAA Division II National
