The College recognizes unusual secondary school accomplishment by means of
advanced placement and credit for those who have taken especially enriched or accelerated courses before entering college. LEAP is designed to help students analyze the knowledge they have accumulated through non-credit classroom experience, work-related experience, and informal experience, such as community service or self-study skills. It is important to note that credit is not granted for the life experience itself, but rather for the learning that has resulted. Students may be granted early admission. Students who have completed their junior year in high school may apply to have the requirement of high school graduation waived. Normally students are expected to have strong school and family support for the Early Admission option and show maturity and positive motivation for selecting this option. Applicants wishing to be considered for early admission are asked to arrange for a personal interview. |
