While the Media Production AoC is designed to help students develop the skills needed to compete for entry-level media positions, the broader aim of this concentration is to develop in students an appreciation for and understanding of the practical exigencies of mediated communication.

In our program, students are introduced to electronic field production, studio television production, and digital audio production. The skills and strategies for effective media communication remain consistent whichever medium is chosen.

The Media Production AoC is designed with the overall improvement of the student in mind. First and foremost, the program seeks to instill in our students the values and abilities of the critical consumer of mediated messages. In addition, the student will be thoroughly prepared for career opportunities in the media.

As a Franklin Pierce University
graduate, the student will be ready to serve as a thoughtful citizen in the community, recognizing the power our culture grants to media communicators, and equipped to handle his/her responsibilities ethically.
