The Music Department encourages every member of the Franklin Pierce community to get involved in music! Our program welcomes students looking for a major, a minor or just looking for someplace to play or sing. We offer a wide array of opportunities for instrumental and vocal study, performance, music theory, history and music technology. All of our ensembles perform at Franklin Pierce, throughout the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire and beyond. There are plenty of opportunities.

Professor Brandes teaches Music Theory.Major in Music. The music major provides an education to prepare students for the music professions or graduate work in music. See the catalog for a complete listing and curriculum guide.

Minor in Music. The music minor is a cluster of courses giving students majoring in another field a solid background in performance, music theory and history. See the catalog for a complete listing.

Participation in music. Many students involved in music at Franklin Pierce neither major nor minor in music. All areas of our program are open to you: private instruction, ensembles, music theory, history and technology.
